Compostela de compras, A Reixa Tenda

Muchos de vosotros sentiréis cierta nostalgia de tiempos pasados, quizás mejores, si os acercáis a este local. A Reixa Tenda está situada en la calle Mazarelos, tras una de las puertas antiguas de la cuidad medieval, justo al lado de la Facultad de Filosofía y a solo diez minutos de la Catedral. Es una sabia extensión del bar A Reixa, situado a escasos metros de la tienda pero del que no hablaremos hoy ya que se merece su propio reportaje.

Este gusano espacio-temporal de los sesenta tiene un público fiel y agradecido, y sus camisetas con el logo de la marca se extienden por el mundo con profusión.

Los más nostálgicos y las nuevas hornadas hambrientas de cultura underground (de la de verdad, no la de las camisetas con los Ramones o el logo de los Rollings que comercializa cierto emporio textil) encontrarán todo lo necesario para hacerse con el kit revival: ropa, corbatas, bolsos, camisetas, deportivas, zapatos, cinturones, libros, gorras, discos, vinilos, pósters, cómics, fancines… hasta una pequeña sección de cámaras lomográficas. Todo made in, o inspired by la década sagrada de la música británica. Por si esto fuera poco, también organizan actuaciones en directo, ayudando a mantener viva esa psicodelia elegante y necesaria.

Un sentido homenaje a todas las grandes palabras de tres letras de esos tiempos: Pop, Mod, GBr, The Who…y, como dice la canción...

If you happen to come to this place, you may feel nostalgia for the “maybe better” old days... A Reixa Tenda is in Rúa Mazarelos, behind one of the old doors in the medieval city, just beside the Faculty of Philosophy and ten minutes away from the Cathedral. It is a wise extension of A Reixa Bar, which is only a few minutes away from the shop, but we are not going to talk about it today… It deserves its own article.

This spatio-temporal worm from the sixties has its own loyal and grateful fans, and its T-shirts with the brand´ s logo are spread all over the world.

Those who feel nostalgia and the new batches hungry of underground culture (the real one, not exactly the one in the Ramones´ T-shirts and the Rolling Stones´ logo commercialized by a certain textile emporium), will find everything they may need to get their revival kit: clothes, ties, handbags, T-shirts, tennis and shoes, belts, books, caps, records, vinyls, posters, comics, fanzines, even a small section of photographic cameras. Everything is made in or inspired by the sacred decade of British music. In case this was not enough, they also organize live performances and help to keep that elegant and necessary psychodelia alive.

A heartfelt tribute to all the great three letter words of those days: pop, Mod, GBr, The Who…
