Algo está cambiando en Santiago y ya hay algunas tiendas que, tímidamente, van colgando en sus perchas Pret-a-Porter. Bloom es una de las alumnas avezadas. Quien conozca la noche más canalla de Santiago se acordará del pub que ocupaba antes este espacio y que ha renacido como una delicada boutique inundada de luz y buen gusto cosmopolita. Al frente está Iria Belenguer; una sesuda investigadora de la universidad de Santiago por las mañanas y artífice de que las marcas emergentes del momento puedan llegar a nuestros armarios por las tardes; y todo esto sin llegar a los treinta.
En Bloom te encontrarás con el pret-a-porter más versátil: desde Estella Forest o Les Pettites, a Day -la hermana pequeña de la firma danesa By Malene Birger- que mantiene la calidad y pureza de tejidos, su sexy elegante pero a precios más ajustados. Iria es una defensora a ultranza las segundas marcas de las firmas de moda con mayúscula, como veinteañera familiarizada con el mileurismo y la crisis.
Especial orgullo le produce a Iria la firma neoyorquina Tocca, que llega a España pisando fuerte con una colección que evoca la simpleza sofisticada de la Europa más nostálgica y una línea de cosmética orgánica deliciosamente retro, delicadas velas y perfumes, jabones con altas concentraciones de algas e incluso detergentes para prendas delicadas.
También podrás hojear uno de los libros de diseño, fotografía o ilustraciones -a la venta- o sentarte un momento en su cómodo sofá mientras suena Frank Sinatra y te tomas una chocolatina por cortesía de la casa. Déjate llevar por el agradable ambiente de atelier de ayer con el chic renovado de hoy, y sin dejarte los ahorros del mes...si quieres matar el gusanillo llévate una de las sorprendentes camisetas de Threadless.com, con los diseños más votados que artistas de todo el mundo mandan a su página Web y a 20 euros, ¡tuve que comprar dos!

Iria defends with passion the second brands of the big fashion labels, as any other twenty something girl who knows perfectly about the small wages of today’s young people and the world wide economical crisis. And pride flows freely when she talks about New York Tocca, which arrives in Spain with a collection that evokes the simplicity of the most nostalgic Europe and organic cosmetics deliciously retro: delicate candles and perfumes, soaps with high concentrations in seaweed or washing powder for delicates. You can just have one of the complimentary chocolates and take a look to the beautiful design and illustration books –also for sale-, have a seat in their sofa while Frank Sinatra sings, and just let yourself go by the easy mood of a yesterday’s atelier with a renewed chic. And you don’t have to go broke in the process…like by buying one of the original Threadless.com t-shirts, with the most voted design that artists from all over the world send to their Web page, and at 20 euros, I had to get me 2!
